DCFS received approval to implement virtual DSNAP operations in Allen and Iberia parishes to provide additional food aid to families impacted by Hurricane Delta.

As you prepare for hurricane season or other disasters, make pre-registering for the Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (DSNAP) part of your plan.
DSNAP provides eligible low- to moderate-income households who do not normally receive SNAP benefits with help buying groceries due to lost income or damages following a disaster.
SNAP Recipients Not Eligible for DSNAP
SNAP recipients are not eligible for DSNAP and should not apply. Information about SNAP benefits changes related to Hurricane Delta, including replacement benefits for food lost due to power outages, can be found at dcfs.la.gov/SNAPstorms.
